hello,
I have been thinking about a 3 week trip to europe in july ( 5th-26/27th ) and have been really confused for the past two weeks.( Actually i was supposed to go to austria for 2 months for an internship but that din work out and so i am a little late in deciding to spend my summers backpacking across europe. So thats one reason why i am apprehensive about this. second is i’m having trouble figuring out a route. As of now what i have in mind is :
Delhi – Barcelona
2/3 in catalonia,
then move up to rennes or paris – again 2,3 days (want to visit mont st. michel)
then to amsterdam via brugge/brussels
then to prague ( maybe stopping at reutlingen near stuttgart ..a friend lives there),
then vienna + bratislava (and budapest if possible) ,
then innsbruck, salzburg, a couple out of lucerne/interlaken/zurich/geneva,then milan/turin, venice , florence , and rome.
Rome-Delhi.
the other alternative i’ve thought about is cutting down on italy and spending some time in poland and some initially at the south coast of france.
but this perhaps is symptomatic of the classic problem of wanting to do too much in one trip. I guess a lot of chopping n changing might take place in this schedule and thats inevitable but I’d love to know if u think this is possible in 21/22 days and also if u could suggest some alternative must see places and a better itinerary. and how much should i expect the costs to be.
And what are the major things that i must keep in mind regarding this trip..
thanks
-nik
