I noticed this FREE service (started by Microsoft alumni Raghav Kher & Eric Johnson
in 11/98),www.imandi.com about 2 weeks ago. It seems to be absoultely wonderful in that it offers travel and other items at very substantial discounts- yet, you decide what you want, what you’ll pay and then you (not them like Priceline) also make the final decision as to if you want it!

Sign up and:
1. Tell them exactly what you want
2. They match sellers with your specific request
3. You select the seller and they give you a quote

You even review the merchants bids/quotes ANONYMOUSLY! You don’t even need to know what to bid- just what you’ll accept! They do all the work.

This is the 1st & largest "reverse marketplace", connecting consumers to travel and other businesses across the country, who then compete for the business. Airlines
including international, hotels, limos, vacations and cruises etc all participate as do others.

I know we can’t put the final nail in Priceline’s coffin quite yet, but this is definitely an improvement over their antiquated (lack of!) service.
