I went this weekend to try the new Eagle Creek (Solo) Expandable Journey. However, the store that carries it was out. Went to a few more stores and one had the old versions of the Expandable as well as the Continetal Journey.
I didn’t much care for the Expandable but I liked the Continenal when I took off the daypack. (I’m very small)

My question is how different is this older version from the newer pack. The store I was in is very ritzy and they charge a good twenty dollars more for the old pack than the stores with the new pack. (Go figure)

I know that the dimensions are a bit different. Has anyone used the new version? Will it be allowed as a carry-on?

And does anyone Know what the volume of the main pack is by itself?
