Well we’re still deciding between Paris and Amsterdamn, but from everything I’ve heard on here and other places A’dam seems to be the place to enjoy yourself. And its new years and I’m australian definately up for drinking….
It’s mine and my friend first backpacking trip and we’re real excited about it and keen to make friends and have a good time so maybe doing A’dam at the start of the trip (new years) instead of the end (early feb) is a better idea….will let you know when I finalise the plans..

Hey Aussie student how old are you and your friend.

We are both 19 at the moment, but will be 20 by the time we get over there.

The people I am going with are 21 and I am 22. And Dont listen to Hope. The other guys that are going with me and all of them drink. Although one doesnt smoke so we’ll see how that works out in Amsterdam.

Aussie Student do you know of any parties in Amsterdam for New Years? Do you have to get tickets or anything? I havent really looked into that side of my trip yet so Im not sure where we’ll be for new years in Amsterdam. You have anything planned?

No sorry haven’t made any definate plans as yet, I’m in end of semester exams at the moment so just waiting til the holidays to get organised. I don’t really know about tickets or anything, I’ve never been to europe before but if I find anything out I’ll let ya know!

Hey Aussie any definite trip plans yet? I booked my airfare over the weekend. We will be ariving in Amsterdam on the 28th of December early afternoon and departing Amsterdam for Rome on the 1st or 2nd.

Nah unfortunately no definate plans as of yet as I"m still waiting to see if my travelling partner can get their finances sorted..but hopefully will know for sure soon.

I wouldnt say all sorted but booked. We booked our airfare from MSP to Amsterdam, Amsterdam to Rome and back. So the definite dates are:

Amsterdam: Dec 28th – January 1
Rome: January 1 – January 5
Amsterdam January 5 – 8

Other than that no definite plans and havent booked hostels or anything like that. Hopefully yours will fall in place soon. Keep me posted on your status!
