I’m going to spend next Christmas and New Year in Sydney, and will then head off to NZ for a 4 or 5 night stay before returning to The States.

Can anyone suggest a cool hotel in Auckland and/or Canterbury? I’m not looking for hostel-like accomodations, but a good property that’s centrally located would fit the bill perfectly.
