Nice Clothing?
Wed, 05/24/2006 - 15:30
I am not sure what I should do about packing nice clothing. I plan on visiting the Monte Carlo Casino as well as many nightclubs along the way and I figured most clubs and stuff like that would require like a nice pair of dress pants, shoes, and shirt in order to get in. Am I wrong on this? Because I have read a few posts of people saying they packed that stuff and regreted it because they never needed it however that was a women I read who posted that, and I can imagine its alot easier for a woman to get away with half decent clothing then a man. So do I need to pack this stuff if I plan on getting in clubs throughout Europe or I wont have a problem with regular Khakis or Jeans.

You won’t have a problem w/ jeans. Most dudes will be wearing jeans anyway. As far as shoes, I just had some brown new balance shoes…and I was able to get into all sorts of clubs…ranging from cheap to expensive….and I went to Monte Carlo as well. I had a couple button-down collared long sleeve shirts(darker colored)…one was dressy….but that was the extent of it.
I agree with the above. Take a couple of nice shirts to pair with jeans and you will probably be all right. Instead of tennis shoes wear some that look nice and seem to be leather— but make sure they are comfortable, or you will regret it! (I recommend just taking one pair of shoes.)
sorry to hijack
Did you guys find a need for joggers? I pretty much wear thongs here 24/7 so I dont know if its worth packing my joggers just in case for a 3 month trip…?
