Hi all!

I’m going to Ireland in August and flying into Dublin. I know that those border officer people can be a bit annoying when letting people into the country… they ask lots of questions about where you’ll be staying, going, funds etc. I’ve heard people say that it helps to show them a return plane ticket.

Here’s the deal: I’m meeting up with my parents in Scotland for a wedding, and flying out of Glasgow. I’m giving them my return ticket so I don’t have to worry about it. I’ll be flying into Dublin from Canada, but I have a British passport… will they even bother asking me those questions since I’m going to the EU?

I remember when I went to the UK last May, my friend held a Canuck passport, and they asked her all kinds of questions, whereas I just got to stroll right through.

Has anyone had any bad border experiences?

Thanks!
