I have exhausted my search for places to stay in the city of Munich. I did however land a place outside of Munich called Grafing…about 20 km outside of Munich…40 minutes by Train.

An apartment at $25 USD/night i won’t complain.

My advice is to check on the smaller outlying towns along the S-Bahn. Many of these small towns have many rooms available, are cheap, and are less than one hour by train! And the scenery south of Munich is wonderful!

From the hotel to the railway station you have towalk 10 min. Single rooms are 138 DM double rooms are 178 DM per night. Not bad.

By the way, does anybody know the S-Bahn stop to get to the Bier Gartens? Or the closest stop to that action along the S-Bahn.
