I love couschsurfing, but you may have a bit of a difficult time to find a couch during Oktoberfest.

That’s true. For special events you have to do it way in advance or else the hosts are just way too overwhelmed and can ignore sometimes.. It has happened to me during some popular events.

If you are looking for accommodation for Oktoberfest and want to save some money I would suggest you to stay with “Stoke Travel”( http://stoketravel.c… ) . You would camp with them, but that’s a great opportunity to meet new people, save money and have a great time, because in their prices the BBQ in the evenings are included, when we all had great time and breakfasts. This year I am also going with them without any doubts , if you want join me, so we will have a few drinks )
