Friends of mine who work as security at the Oktoberfest had a meeting today with the Administration Department of Munich City Council. It seems that due to events in the USA there may be severe restrictions (up to and including possible cancellation of the whole event) for this year may take effect.

As a resident of Munich and a beer monster I will inform you ASAP of any OFFICIAL information I receive. If you have already booked to come to Munich you will have a great time wherever you go for a "Mass" of beer.

Please keep this thread clear of personal comment, I will try and keep you informed of the actual situation.
