This place makes Prague one of my favorite cities in Europe. It is so charming and small, bustling with people from all over. The old stone streets and old-style buildings that survived WW2 and which have been recently renovated, are truly charming. Old Town is perfectly central to Charles Bridge and the Jewish Quarter, which are only a few blocks away, in perfect walking distance. There are plenty of old things there, an astronomical clock, two beautiful churches, and even a very high end shopping street lined with large shady trees. The area around Charles Bridge is a notorious party center with tons of bars and danceclubs. I say explore around from 1-5pm, eat from 5-6:30, get ready for party and pregame from 6:30-8, then hit the town until the wee hours of the morning. This truly is a picturesque and party city, it is the perfect combination of a great European city, and it doesn’t hurt that its warm and sunny during the summer months all day. If you are looking for a unique adventure, try pedal boating or rowing out in the river. It is a perfect mid-afternoon activity for meeting other young tourists and having a drink on the scenic river. There are churches and monasteries along with some cute swans about the river area.
