I’m interested in visiting Oman and UAE. Anyone ever been?

The only time I can go is from mid December until early January. Is this a bad time, I think ramadan will be going on then is it not?

Also, anyone know where to look for cheap flights from anywheres in Europe?

The best I could find was 650 euro from Frankfurt to Muscat, Oman roundtrip, seemed pretty high to me.
