one realy big question

hello i am new to the forum and i am planning a euro trip for me and 4 other freinds we are going on a eurotrip in 2011 (the summer of) and we plan to have the best time possible however we are still undecided on one issue, this issue is whether we buy a LWB transit van and plan our own route or if we use public transport throughout the trip, the trip is planned to last 3-4 weeks and we plan to go to 4 places on this trip these are:London,Amsterdam,Paris and last but defenitly not least Benidorm, this trip is important to us as it will be the last holiday and time we shall have together before we go and split our ways for example me and my best mate liam are going to different universityies and won’t have a large amount of time to spend with each other getting drunk. if possible any ideas on how to save money and have a really good time would comem in really helpful.

What do you plan to do with the van after your trip?
Are you just interested in cities or do you want to explore the countryside?

and we will sell the van afterwards
why not renting a little van.then you don’t have the hassle to sell it cause 3-4 weeks is not a lot of time. If you buy one, you never know the history of the car. An australian went around Europe with a budget camper van and loved it. buzz-around.com I think it was called, they have reasonable pricing, you are flexible where to go. Just to give you the idea that this is an option too.
4 people sharing the cost of a van would be pretty economical (less than rail passes etc I would suggest). I’ve done the lease program with Renault and it was far cheaper than renting (no VAT tax) and probably less hassle than buying a used van (lease with Renualt has 24 hour roadside assistance). If driving make sure you get diesel: better fuel economy, chaper gas prices and readily available everyhwere

did you sleep in the van or was it only for accomodation?
at least in a small camper van, you can sleep up to 4 people (2 double beds). Roadside assistance you have as well and you have a small kitchen with fluent water
As I mentioned, have a look at www.buzz-around.com. They have small used campers.Don’t know the names of others. With the wicked campers the sleeping is not very comfy…
