Ok, as usual, I’m planning my 2001 trip before even heading out on my 2000 trip. The plan is to fly one way from Toronto to Sydney (or wherever’s cheapest) and work for a year on a visa. Then head from Australia to London one way to live.

I’ve heard that one-way tickets are actually more expensive than return, though the logic escapes me… is this true? I’m also wondering if I’ll get hassled in Australia for not having a return ticket. London doesn’t matter as I’m a British citizen.

I’m also curious about what these flights will cost me approx.

Thanks for any help!
