For infrequent travellers, which is better Oyster Card or the daily and weekly pass? I think I am better off with the daily pass as I think I lost money today.
Can anyone share their experiences?

The oyster card is advertised as never costing a person more than a day pass.  It certainly is more convenient than standing in line for tickets, which can often be long.

I had a Oyster ticket which is costing me about 1.50 per trip. So if you go either by bus or tube and change 4 times it is costing more than a daily pass of 4.50 GBP.
So how is an Oyster card more cheaper than a daily pass? Am I missing something?

I see Oyster card being promoted all over the places even in the booths but they are not telling me how much more expensive it is going to be after a certain amount of trips.
I need someone to agree or disagree with me.

What’s supposed to happen is that the Oyster card is always the cheapest. If you use it less than what is needed to break even for a day pass, it will charge you only that amount. It will never charge you more than for a day pass, even if you travel a lot more on that day. That’s how it’s supposed to work. If it’s not, make sure you are touching in and out, and keep records of its misbehavior.
