I am going to Australia this summer for 3 months and need some info!
I am planning on flying into Melbourne then takin buses as far north up the West coast as I can.
I need to know a couple of things…
1.)are there about the same number of packers going through Oz as Euro? Im traveling alone so its always nice to run into someone at a hostel and they end up being your travel mate.
2.)are there ample hostels in most cities?
3.)where to go in each city(night and day),,,I have friends that live in Sydney that i met in Euro last summer that im stayin with, so every city but Sydney.
4.)if anyone has read "in a sunburned country" by bill bryson(the best author ever), im following most of his advice on where to go so if im stupid for doin this, let me know!
5.)Im an avid outdoors man, and im obsessive about fly fishing so any tips on things to do would be good.
6.)how much $ will i need?
7.)is adelaide and uluru worth the insane drive out there?
8).finally, i dont want to sound like a stupid yank and i know new zealand isnt just a hop across the pond, but i would just about do anything to fish there so if anyone could tell me the cheapest way to get there and if it is worth it.
thanks!!!!
