Paris vs. Bordeaux (in summer)
Wed, 12/02/2009 - 11:47
I’m trying to decide between Paris and Bordeaux to study abroad
I’ll be there for six weeks in the summer from May to June.
Anyone have any suggestions or opinions?
Thanks!
I’ve never been to Bordeaux but Paris is amazing in the summer! If it is possible for you to stay after your study into July to see the Fête Nationale (Bastille day) celebrations in Paris, I would highly recommend it as well. I studied in Paris end of June-July 2008 and had the time of my life.
London, Salisbury, Cardiff, Manchester, Edinburgh, Inverness, Edinburgh, London
Venice, Cinque Terre, Pisa, Florence, Rome, Sorrento, Rome
Bangkok, Phnom Penh, Sihanoukville, Phnom Penh, Siem Reap, Bangkok
2008—Language study abroad in Paris, France
2009—Archaeological field school/dig in Lau, Fiji
2010— Birthday UK trip!
2011— Teaching English in South Korea
2012— ????
As a parisian, I claim there is no contest here. You will have no regrets picking Paris over Bordeaux. Which University?
Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin, Prague, Mostar, Sarajevo, Bol, Makarska, Florence, Málaga, Seville, Barcelona, Ibiza Town
The only thing going for Bordeaux is that it is closer to the beach. other than that, I would say Paris.
My pick would be Paris too. May to Jne in Paris is the best time to go. public gardens are in bloom, tourists hardes ahven’t arrived yet and stuff is still going on (as opposed to Augsut when Paris is a ghost town due to everyone going on vacation). Bourdeux I find to be a bit sleepy with not much going on.
