pics of China
Sat, 10/23/2004 - 05:15
I’ll have tons of pics of China and other places up in the next few days. In the meantime there are a few up now at www.imageevent.com/r….

I get an error message when I click that link
seraphim,
try this one, http://imageevent.co…
That did work
I loved the ones from Turpan, hope to go there some day myself.
Turpan was amazing!!!!!! One of my favorite stops. I stayed for 3 days and could have easily spent a week there.
Did you go to Kashgar as well? That’s always been my dream destination in China.
I ended up going to Urumqi, Heaven Lake, Turpan, Kuche, Kashgar, Tashkurgan, Pakistani Border, Yengisar, Yarkand and Hotan before crossing the Taklamakan back to Urumqi. It was all absolutely fabulous!!! The only thing I ended up not liking was being a white woman in a muslim area, it didn’t seem to matter if I was covered or not. I received far too much attention unless I happened to be out with other backpackers. Other than that it is one of my absolute favorite places in China and I making plans to go back next fall with the man who will then be my husband. Hopefully we will also be able to get up into the Northern areas before it gets too cold.
