You can share pictures via flickr (which seems to be the most popular) ans also via Picasa which IMHO comes with a better album management. I’ve used facebook for two main reasons:
1. (only) “official” facebook friends can comment on photos
2. its software does rather decent job compressing pictures on the client side, before upload

At some point I should post Castle / Romantic Road pictures too, but I like Italian ones better. Of course I’ve got tons of pre-digital pics, but I’ve given up hope to get them scanned looong time ago.
