A place to stay...9.18 to 9.21
Mon, 08/02/2010 - 17:51
Ahhhh! We are going back to the fest!
Last minute plans changed and we are going now. I’m afraid that we won’t be able to find anywhere to stay though. We usually stay at the 4U Hostel, but they are full. Any suggestions on places that might not be full yet? We need on the cheaper side of things. Thanks for any assistance!

I think it is safe to assume that all the hostels in the area are booked, and most likely all of the hotels. I know that when we went my friend booked our room about a year in advance. However, you never know, people cancel all the time (I booked to go back about a year in advance as well, then 6 months later my bro’s wife was preggers so we had to cancel our trip
) so then of course our room opened up.
We stayed at Hotel Jederman and it was a nice place. Also, maybe try getting on some type of lists in the case of cancelations. Finally, what about couchsurfing????
Good luck I hope it works out!
Happy travels
Have a look here:

I doubt if there are many people in Munich who will allow couchsurfers during Oktoberfest……
Thanks FunkyJ and Bigfoot…I’ll check into your suggestions. Wish me luck!
Anyone else have more suggestions? I’ll take ‘em!
When you see an Italian camper in the city you can knock on the door and ask to sleep over.
I am sure they let girls in!
