Where are the best places to go?
How long should I stay?
How much money should I expect to spend?
Thanks!
Linnea
1) Anywhere you haven’t been. Don’t try to cram too much in when you go. Don’t get caught in the tourist traps. London wouldn’t be bad because you have a lot of day trips to choose from. It all depends on how long you go for.
2) At least a week. You’ll obviously need to stay longer for more destinations.Give yourself 2 or 3 days per town on average.
3) If you’re in a large city like London, Paris, or Rome you might consider $150.00 USD to be comfortable. It’s good to get good deals and travel for less but you’re not supposed to suffer on vacation.
Eat the food, use the wrong verbs, and end up getting charged double.

You’ll get much more help if you give a little more detail of what you are interested in, your ideas, the amount of time you have etc etc.

Maybe we should kick things off … (assuming 2 weeks in Spain & France as an intro to Western Europe)
Paris – 2 nights
Provence region – 3 nights
Perpignan region (incl Barcelona) – 5 nights
San Sebastien / Biarritz region – 4 nights
A couple of big cities, lots of wonderful countryside & walks, plenty of little villages, fabulous food and two oceans.
What do you reckon?
