Hello, its been awhile since my last post but everyone is quite helpful on this site. I have been working in Sweden for the past six months and am going to take 2.5 weeks or so off before I fly back to the US. Therefore I have that time from March 25 (give or take) to April 11 to fool around in Europe. I plan to leave stockhom March 25, travel around Europe and then need to be back by April 11 to catch my April 13 flight back to the US.

So with that said, I was trying to brainstorm my best options for traveling and an itinerary. I started to look at cheap flights as one criteria (looking at sterling, norwegian, flynordic, sas) (ryanair is a pain to get to from stockholm) and also I think I would like to avoid France, Spain Portugal, most of Italy as I’ve aready done them.

So… I was thinking
Bergen for about 4 days and then 13 days for the remaining countries
Fly to Krakow do Krakow then Auschwitz
Train to German do Berlin Munich
Vienna and Budapest
and then fly back home to Stockholm.

Any thoughts or suggestions? I like to shoot photography and would like a slight theme on at least some portion of my trip. I think hiking for three days in Bergen to photograph the fjords would be awesome. I heard Krakow is great and Auschwitz will be pretty powerful. From there I’ll loop around down German then head east. Leaving from Vienna or Budpest.

I figured take the trains, do you think if I just did the main trains to travel between those central europe cities I should go eurail or basic pass?

I know Bergen is quite out of the way and expensive to get to, anyone have any tips or recommendations. Maybe I won’t go there but I thought it’d be nice.

Regards,
Matt
