Planning a 3 month Eurotrip
Thu, 03/03/2005 - 21:15
My friend Beth and I are thinking of backpacking europe during May-August 2006. We want to hit most of the popular countries: france, ireland, germany, italy, austria, spain, england…etc. We’re both BFA majors and want to see places with art history. How much would an average 3 month voyage cost? What’s the average price of a hostel? How much money was spent on food, drinks, etc? What are the best places to see?

ok here goes…..
Plane Ticket- $700
Rail Pass + p2p tickets- $1000ish
Per months costs- $2000×3 months= $6000
Total= $7700
This includes youth hostel stays, food (cheap), museums, some entertainment, local transportation
EVERYWHERE HAS ART HISTORY, so you need to be more specific. What kind of art do you like?
Average Hostel Price for Western Europe- 16-19 Euros
Best places to see? Come on now, everywhere is good. What are your other interests, or do you think I should spend an hour writing down everything that I like. Give me some info and I give you more.
Your question has been asked a million times! 500,000 times on this page alone! This is one of the best sites on European travel and has as a ton of information in it.
For general questiosn, use the search function. For specific questions you will get a heap of questions.
Hey!
you know I am going to europe the same time as you are. shoot me an e-mail. sanchitos123@yahoo.com
Maybe we could meet up at some point. I’m going alone and it would be nice to travel with people for any part of the way.

Are your friend Beth & you cute? Makes a big difference in terms of how much things will cost you in Euro.
I’m being honest! So we need an answer here….part of your initiation to EuroTrip.
Yes, beth and I are cute…pretty…attractive. How does this matter? haha. As far as our interests in art, Beth is more interested in modern, contemporary art, while my interest is more classical, renaissance and roman pagan art.
Modern Art = Berlin Madrid and Paris
Classical = Rome Florence Venice many small towns in Italy will have some great art. Do some research
dwop is the master of sutilty. I’ve been on these boards for a week and i can tell that already!
Any idea of a route? Im starting in italy in July 2006.

Okey, three months sightseeing in Europe.
Since you are interested in art you will spend most of your time in cities, exploring important museums, ruins and so on.
But you could experience something different while in Europe just for a while.
You could check out www.helpx.net that is for people who want to work in farm and experience countryside life. I don’t know, maybe it is just me – that would be just way too much to stay in cities for so long, without being in contact with nature at all.
Or since you are going to Italy when you go from Rome to Naples you could stop to a place that is just inbetween. check out this website and get your own idea. www.italyfarmstay.co…
Well fantastic for you and Beth. I just wanted to ensure that we have good "Ambassadors" going to Euro for the country….
You’ll see what I mean about how that matters when you get there. Euro guys love attractive American girls, esp. ones that are "cute." American girls are just a diff. breed than the Euro girls we have over here…so you are more exciting to us.
Ahh, now I am reminiscing about last summer….
See you soon, KB & Beth!
Might I suggest too, that you pack the right things for the clubs here too. I do think you and Beth will go to some clubs when you are here in Europe.
Depending on your body type, of course, I’d suggest Black mini skirts and hi heeled sandals, with nice tank tops. Perfect attire for most of the nice clubs here.

I think this article is very funny, but you musn’t think we are all like that. I think Europeans are really more romantic than Americans, this is just true. And American college girls, they are so attractive to me, so beautiful and with a sense of style so different than european girls. I love seeing them in their cute denim skirts, their hooded sweatshirts and their shorts.
Beth and I are starting out in Spain…..end of may beginning of june….and then working our way through, france, germany, uk, scottland, switzerland, sweden, austria, Belgium, Czech repub, Denmark, greece, netherlands, italy. We’re unsure of what order, but we plan on buying a eurorail pass
o well we go the opposite direction….
