Problem: Cheap flights arrive late at night
Fri, 10/08/2004 - 20:04
Hello, after looking at ryanair and easyjet i see that most routes take off really in the morning (6) so i have to be at the airport at 4 or 5!! And in other cases the flight arrives very late (22.00) which means i have to wonder in a completely foreign city at very late in the night.
So, i really think the cheap air carriers are for couples or group travelling, not for solos. Still if anyone has traveled solo in France or Italy, with these airlines, please tell me about it. Thank you, Anna

I thought of taking those flights late at night or early in the morning, but I just didn’t like the arrangements. What cities are you going to? If you have to pay more to take a flight in the middle of the day, I think it might be worth.
I’m taking BMI from London to Venice leaving at 10:50 and Easyjet from Rome to London leaving 20:45. But in the case of the latter flight, I’m very familiar with London so feel quite comfortable arriving there late at night.
Not sure which cities you’re wanting to fly betwenn, but if it’s form France to Italy, try Volare. http://buy.volareweb…
What routes are we discussing here…On some routes ryanair and company isnt always the best option

London, Leeds, Manchester
One thing to consider is what your transportations options are to get you to the airport at an early/late hour.
When I went to Germany last December, I hadn’t even considered the thought that there might not be an early bus to the train station on a Sunday. It wasn’t ridiculously early; had it been a weekday, it wouldn’t have been a problem at all, but we ended up taking a taxi to the train station to take the train to the airport.
well if i had the chance i would be lucky to find cheap flights for
Athens —-> Rome
Rome —-> Paris
Paris —-> Athens
but there arent such flights except easyjet athens-berlin and athens-london.
So, given the fact im taking a ‘‘normal’‘ price carrier from Athens to Rome im going to do the following.
ROME TO PARIS
If anyone knows this route well please inform me about it, i wont fly late at night even if the price is very low couse im solo.
See my post above.
Hi Anna:
You can fly from Rome Ciampino Airport to Paris (Beauvais) on Ryanair.
Then you have to sit on a bus for over an hour from Beauvais airport to Paris, but both of Ryanair’s 2 daily flights from Rome to Paris/Beauvais are during the day, so no worries about arriving late at night.
