So, I’m back from a glorious 5 days in Puerto Escondido, Oaxaca, Mexico, a town that is lively, and yet not cramped with rich stiffy tourists but a lot of amazing people, locals and travelers who are just there to have some bohemian fun.

This town has access to about a dozen beaches on the Pacific Coast, some of them semi virgin, even managed to find a virgin beach, the sea is beautiful, the sunsets are unbelievable, the water is warm, the weather was hot but not too much, cool at nights, and basically I had a blast. Got drunk, high, a piercing, skydived and fell in love all in 5 days, and I was so tempted to quit my job and not come back…

One of the beaches here is called Zicatela, some of you out there might have heard of this place because it is a famous spot for surfing. The waves were not too big, I don’t know if it’ a seasonal thing or what. I didn’t take a camera, but as soon as my friends share their pics, I might post some links.

Cound you give a little info on the Oaxaca area? I’m assuming you could do it on a pretty low budget if you wanted? Also, what was the language barrier like?
