Hi all. I was wondering if those of you who have gone through customs before could help me out. Basically I just want to know if the take everything out of your pack and search it or do they just put it through the x-ray machine. Im not taking anything illegal I just have a bunch of punk band t-shirts that might not be well-liked. I read an article in a magazine about this guy going through English customs and they took apart his whole luggage, searched everything, read his t-shirts, read the lyrics to the music he brought, watched some videos he had, and read his journal. Also I just dont like the idea of them messing up my pack that I will be taking lots of time to make everything fit just right. The only time Ive ever gone through customs was driving back from Canada. It was a whole big hour long ordeal in which 3 different people asked us the same questions and then searched our car cos we were 2 18 year old kids in a car with California plates and they kept asking about drugs. They didnt go through our bags though so Im wondering if customs at the airports will. Any help is much appreciated.
