how do we go about tickets for train travel in europe??? will have both aussie and british passports, but i plan on travelling around europe for more than 3 months, so not sure…

I am leaving from Australia with $5000 for 26 days

http://www.interrail… Interrail is for citizens/long term residents of Europe. Pricing is based on your “home” country. I would compare that carefully to Eurail which you could use with your Austrailian passport, as there are some very important differences. I’m not sure you can use an Interrail pass on all of the premier trains.

You may not want to use any pass in Eastern Europe. You’ll may just want to buy point to point tickets in Romania and the Balkans.

A combination of 2 or 3 passes, some cheap flights and some point to point train tickets and some buses and ferries will probably be what works out best.

have to hurry up and get my passport!!! the british ones have finally gone down! last year $328, this year $274, gotta love the exchange rate atm!
