This list was originale posted by Chris (ChrisF). The post is archived, so I couldn’t just send it up. By the way the website of Deutsche Bahn (or Die Bahn, as they call themselves now) is the most convenient for the research of scedules, but can only price trips within Germany. Other sites are usefull if you need to know exact price of a point to point tickets.
So for all of you looking for timetables, enjoy!

For final timetable planning the web is a good source. The DB site Russ mentioned has about the best overall database, but for most countries the best info on that country is from the national railway companies own site.
An index to most sites is on:
http://mercurio.iet….
The major sites are:
www.rail.co.uk (Britain)
www.bahn.de Deutsche Bahn (German railways)
www.dsb.dk (Danish Railways)
www.ns.nl Nederlandse Spoorweg (Dutch Railways)
www.b-rail.be Société National Chemin de Fer Belgique (Belgian Railways)
www.sncf.fr Société National Chemin de Fer (French Railways)
www.sbb.ch Schweizerbundesbahn (Swiss Federal Railways)
www.fs-on-line.com Ferrovie dello Stato (Italian Railways)
www.renfe.es (Spanish Railways)
www.oebb.at ÖBB (Austrian Railways)
www.eurostar.com Eurostar (London – Paris / Brussels)
www.thalys.com Thalys (international TGV F – B – NL – D)
In each case you have to do a couple of clicks to get to the timetable query page.
Bon Voyage – Chris
