Resort jobs
Thu, 06/01/2006 - 13:37
Hey guys. Anyone here worked for a resort to fund their travelling? I’m looking into going to Greece for a few months and am waiting for a response from a few companies…Any ideas, comments, suggestions?

Can’t tell you much about Greece specifically but having been on holiday to Kavos, Corfu and Magaluf, Majorca I can conclude its pretty easy to get a job in a busy holiday resort.
Shallow but true, I noticed most Bar PR’s are attractive. Attractive people pull in other people who buy drinks, make the place look busy and popular thus pulling in even more people!
Average Bar Staff/PR hours are about 20:00/21:00 – 2:00 and I don’t think you get a night off.
It’s exhausting, you get paid naff all but… you meet SO many people, most shifts are like a nightout as I think most employers let you drink on the job and come 2am when the clubs are opening, you carry on partying.
If you’re looking at a quiet Greek Inland Holiday resort aimed at families then ignore the above!!
If you are looking at a quiet Greek Inland Holiday resort aimed at families…. then perhaps the Mark Warner chain might interest you. They have 4 resorts in Greece and they advertise job on their website:-
