The Rick steves backpack

I would like to know if anyone has used the
rick steves europe through the back door
back pack I am thinking about buying it

I know someone recently posted here that they love it. If you’re a light packer it would probably work well because you wouldn’t need to expand it to its full capacity. Your truly would need to expand it, and it looks to me like it wouldn’t be that great to carry backpack-style when it was expanded and full. I’d also like to see it in person so I could compare the padding of the shoulder straps and waist belt to other packs.

I tried one on and it was really light and seemed comfortable when it was empty. The store where I saw it had just started carrying them so had no customer feedback about how well Rick Steves packs hold up.

I would not buy one without trying it with a full load of stuff. The pack I tried didn’t seem to have as much padding and structure as I’m used to and I’m not sure it would be all that comfortable when full.
