rock venues in europe (cover bands)
Mon, 02/26/2007 - 20:53
are cover bands popular at all in europe? like, would it be tough to find a bar with a band playing recent songs (pop punk, rock, w/ some other novelty stuff thrown in)? i’d love to see something like that out there, but i’m just not sure if it’s as common as it is in the u.s.
With all due respect, what’s so great about cover bands? If you like the songs that much, throw ‘em on a mix CD and listen to that. In the meantime, you could see shows from artists who are doing original work, that’s much more exciting, imo.
As far as European bands, all the good ones are in the UK, I think. Again, just my opinion.
cover bands are more fun. get hammered, sing along. no thank you to original music.
We saw a cover band at the World Cup fest in Berlin. I couldn’t believe those guys, it was like some sort of soundtrack from the 70’s all the way through to today. And everyone was indeed hammered and singing along.
Couldn’t tell you who the band was, though.
awesome… sounds fun
