I have read the rules, I am flying from NC, but will go to ATL or DC. need to be in Madrid June 1st for a wedding. Going with my GF. Want to stay 8-10 days. Any suggestions? I have tried most of what I have seen on the site. Best I have seen is around 620

Air Comet from JFK to MAD, nonstop flights on Mondays and Fridays, is the cheapest to Spain that I am aware of. www.airpluscomet.com Using 28May\8June it’s $551 from Orbitz (about $30 more from AirPlus for some reason). But when you add the cost of tix to JFK from NC, you might be better to just go from CLT or RDU.

For example, I see $850 from Charlotte connecting through PHL on USAir (27th\7th), $831 from GSP (same dates, via PHL on USAir), $878 from GSO.

Cheapest I see to JFK airport is $188 from RDU on American or JetBlue. So… 188 + 551 = 739, which is nearly $100 cheaper than starting from NC. But, if you get to JFK late and miss your flight on Air Comet, you’re SOL at least ‘til the next flight… 4 nights later, and on separate tickets, they don’t have to accomodate you, so it’s a risk.

Checksee if a consolidator has your hometown airport to MAD at rates cheaper than $739 all in. Try www.flights.com www.airdeals.com and www.economytravel.co… — and once you find the cheapest seats on dates you like, do one final comparison with those dates using www.bookingbuddy.com
