Ryan Air
Fri, 08/14/2009 - 18:03
Hi,
My travel plan includes Switzerland, Italy and France.
Read a lot about Ryan Air (howie here suggested it and some other friends of mine). It looks pretty cheap – but there’s a whole lot of restrictions on luggage that I am thoroughly confused…
If you did take a low cost airline.. what kind of bags can you take without incurring any additional charges,
I assume Easyjet and Airberlin will have the same restriction.
Thanks for your time.

Usually you can take a relatively small carry on without charge, but the requirements vary by airline. You’ll need to check the specifics on the individual airline websites. There will usually be a charge, and a 15 kilo weight limit, for any checked bag. It will be significantly more expensive if you didn’t indicate (and pay for) the fact that you’re checking a bag when you bought the ticket. Be sure that you know the carry-on specifics so you don’t get stuck with a $50 fee for checking a bag at the last minute.
This from the FAQ’s on the ryan air website: http://www.ryanair.c…
Thanks a lot for your time Old Lady.
