Fantastic isn’t it? I know plenty of forum users here agree…

For those of us who wish that people understood our sarcasm, or for those who can’t understand it themselves…a good mate of mine is trying to develop an international punctuation mark to denote sarcasm.

Facebook users: http://www.facebook…. is a group to help this cause along. Check it out, join, invite your mates, and share your ideas!

I hate sarcasm…

(is he being sarcastic?)

haha, thats funny. if we come up with a punctuation that we feel fits and the picture that we want to use to denote sarcasm i can add it. for example, if we want the following to happen i can do it.

whenever someone types |!| (or whatever) it could render to (or whatever). i can also add it so that it shows up in the smiley bar.

add your suggestions…

Come on people, do you really need to explicitly tell when you are being sarcastic |!|

I often use smileys to denote sarcasm when replying to a ‘post.’
But, if the reader can’t recognize when a reply is intended to be sarcastic, I guess I’m just not getting my point across:

Some German backpackers must have thought I was something of a nutter because they didn’t understand my use of sarcasm. Of course, it was too late by the time I’d figured it out.
