schengen visa question - specifically, return ticket related
Wed, 07/11/2007 - 19:38
so i plan on making a flight reservation as soon as i get an answer to this question. basically, i am hoping to make a reservation flying into FCO and flying out of CDG with 94 days in between. i am a us citizen, and thus the schengen treaty allows me 90 days within the area without penalty. i plan on spending no more than 90 days in the schengen area, because i am planning on traveling to london and/or morocco for at least four days total. however, as of now, i don’t plan on booking those tickets until i am in europe, probably not even more than a few weeks in advance of travel. i do not know, as of yet, when i will be traveling to these places.
when i arrive in rome, will this be an issue? if so, what can i do to avoid problems?

If you can convincingly explain your plans nobody is going to give you a hard time. Just don’t make them feel that you are not sure about your own plans. Better yet, go to some hotel website like HRS, that don’t require CC for reservations, and book hotels in London and/or Morocco for enough days to bring your Schengen stay under 90 days. Be nice, don’t forget to cancel those reservations you won’t use. [
