I hear that giving tours (of cathedrals, museums, etc.) to Americans is a good seasonal job in Europe. This may require some experience in art history, architecture, anthropology, or history, but some general college coursework usually suffices. A few years ago a tour guide at the Vatican recognized my choir’s uniforms because she was from our hometown, and gave me this tip.
