Just a general question not sure how many people can help me out on this but me and a bunch of friends are planning a trip to London, Paris, Barcelona and Rome around Mid September possibly early October in 2010 just wondering in regards to nightlife/events/atmosphere and generally speaking weather is it a good time to go?

I know that going in the summer is better, more stuff happening etc. but anyone who has had experience going to these places or anywhere else in Europe around these months I would appreciate your feedback in regards to your experience and maybe any alternative or suggestions you have.

Thank You

I am leaving from Toronto with $1000 for 16 days
Paris, Barcelona, Nice, Rome

Cannot comment on Barcelona but can comment on London and Paris. Been there a few times in October but last year and this year has been terrible.
Last year, got hit by snow and probably the worst snow fall in about 20 years. With rain, wind, snow fall, it was quite miserable.
So if you are considering sightseeing, you are in for a wet time,
However, if you are considering bar hoppings, nightlife, restaurants, shows, pub scene, clubbing, London is quite same as New york.
Paris I have never done the nightlife scene except eating.

I am leaving from US and traveling for 11 days
London, Brussels, Basel, Paris, London

september should be fine, usually still faily warm and good atmosphere. I went to czech republic, hungary and poland in september and it was roasting with a great night life…..although i cant say ive been in the places you intend to go.
October could be a lot colder, and a lot quieter

I am traveling for 21 days
