SFO to Munich
Sun, 06/17/2007 - 15:42
Hello everyone. I’m looking for flights from San Francisco to Munich or a multicity deal where the flight returns from Munich on the 7th or 8th of October. My incoming flight Ideally would be the 27th or the 28th of Sept. I have read numerous post and checked alot of websites for the best deal. The lowest I have found was a $814 flight. I also found a $660 flight to Dusseldorf but making a round trip from Dusseldorf would put me back over $800. I plan on going to Praha for a few days and be back in Munich for the climax of October fest.
Is the 800 price roundtrip to Munich a good deal or not?
Thanks alot

Normally I would say 800+ is not so good for this itinerary. But I checked ITA, Bookingbuddy, and Farecompare, and 814 is the cheapest I see, too. If it was me, I’d wait for a few more weeks to see if a sale pops up—but only if I have flexibility, since it’s Oktoberfest-time.
I was thinking of waiting a few more weeks, but I’m sacred the price will skyrocket. Hopefully something will pop up.
Thanks alot
I’d say it is safe to wait a few more weeks. $800 feels like a typical non-promotional price for this itinerary. My recollection is that sales for fall travel usually start early to mid August and peak after the Labour day (am I right, Don?). Though you probably should not wait till September because of Oktoberfest, unless you are willing to fly from an alternative airport if necessary.
Early August huh…. I hope I can hold off until then. What’s a good price to get if I see it.
