Rick, I think AC may have been Air Canada, but that fare is long gone. Since you’ll be touring, are there other airports in Europe you could fly in/out of, and are those the exact dates you need?

Those dates are approximate but very close to the dates I need (within 2 or 3 days before (but not after) and 2 or 3 days after (but not before the end dates) and
I would need to go SFO to Zurich because I“m being met by people who will
drive me around the interior of Europe on the tour.

I noticed this post was only a week or more old………Surely, flights like this come up
fairly regularly given that we are still 3 months out.

I don’t know though, as I don’t tour Europe enough to know the score.

I see $985 using 27May\10June from airfare consolidator ATIflights.com.

There used to be a summer charter through Jason Travel in San Francisco, Swiss airline Belair flew SFO-ZRH nonstops in summer for about $1000 r/t, but they won’t be doing it this year: www.jasontravel.com

Personally, knowing that last year there was an offer in the $550s, and jet fuel is much cheaper now than a year ago, I’d probably wait for something better than $985. I’d sign up for alerts on this route with Farecompare and be ready to pounce if/when it drops anywhere in the $600s.
