I think shorts are great- BUT from a past experience, I’m not sure if it’s appropriate to bring them this time. I wore khaki shorts before. I’m OK with wearing a black skirt too.
When my friend and I were in Paris in July a few years ago- we were crossing the bridge to the Eifel Tower and a few older men seemed to be mesmerized by my bare legs which made me confused and uncomfortable.
When we we in Nice, we were walking out of our little hotel to the beach and a family crossed our path where a younger boy whooped out at my friend’s legs and proceeded to point for long enough to gather his family’s attention and make the situation my friend’s 2nd most embarrasing moment on the trip.
What situations can I wear shorts acceptably? I’ll be packing for a trip in September for Venice, Cinque Terre, Nice and Paris.
