Sightseeing in Basel
Sat, 03/09/2013 - 01:05
i do realize there is not much to see or do in Basel? However, is there anything close within a few miles driving distance to see or enjoy or do anything fun with a 7 year old?
What is the average weather like for March and April ?
Is there anything unique there?
Any favorite places to explore?
Any restaurant that is reasonably priced and worth visiting?
I am leaving from US and traveling for 11 days
London, Brussels, Basel, Paris, London
London, Brussels, Basel, Paris, London
Bear Pit, which I understand now is a new Bear Park. http://www.myswitzer…
The famed bear pit is in Bern, but I think Basel has a zoo. I don’t travel with kids, so I don’t know the attractions for them. What I liked most about Basel centered around the river, and the idea that you can walk into France for lunch. You might visit http://www.fodors.co… and look for Basel in destinations; they do a pretty good job of listing attractions for all ages.
Madrid, Toledo
Dublin, Dingle, Dublin
Bruges, Ardennes, Bastogne, Brussels
London
Charleville-Mézières, Reims
No, No, the parking lot where I will be parking is actually Germany not France. The building is located in Basel. The prices in Germany is much more reasonable than Basel. Other folks who are in long term assignments all buy their groceries in Germany is what i have been told.
