This is my first post. I am planning a 3 week trip to W. Europe during May. I’m planning out my rail, and keep asking myself the same question when it comes to the longer trips: Do I do the sleeper train, with its obvious benefits of no waking hours wasted on transport? Or, do I do a day trip in order to see a whole lot of beautiful land? For my trip, this debate applies only to Paris to Nice. Others might have the same dilemma concerning other trips. Any countrysides/landscapes not to be missed in the daylight?
