Hello Everyone,
I am a Canadian living in the south west of France since few years.
Being interested in history I find this region outstandingly interesting.
I started by visiting the magical cathar castles and learned about the cathar history, I then went cycling along Canal du Midi and the Atlantic Coast were I saw the Vauban forts and more recenly I have visited the wineries of Bordeaux (OMG!!!)
Well, to share all this interesting (for me and I hope for others too) stuff I have created a web site (non commercial, no adds) – www.southweststory.c… -that describes all these places – and also lists many events, festivals, things to do when visiting the region.
I really hope this will give you some suggestions on where to spend your next holiday.
