Mailing them home or carrying them seems to be your only options. Also, if you are buying somewhat expensive souveniers, the store you are buying from may ship them home for you.

Magnets are a great personal souvenir…They’re inexpensive, and small. I myself make a point of buying one where ever I go. Right now I have them on my refrigerator at home. Makes me smile whenever I pass by them remembering the good times I had.

sure magnets are a great idea..but id avoid anything made of plaster of paris…its heartbreaking when it drops off the fridge and its not like it can be replaced…plastic of timber …metal ..better choices

Good point, sparks…I hadn’t thought of that. Come to think of it most of mine are plastic or metal I only have about two or three in plaster. I’ll have to remember that next time I’m looking for the perfect magnet.

Go to a thrift store like Goodwill. Buy some "disposible" clothes and as throw them away as you go. This leave room for souveniers.

Another option is to get a cheap sports bag for about $10.00 that will fold up in you pack. Then put things you buy in it and use it for carry on.
