so a lot of people have recommended staying in the rooms of old ladies who hang out at the train station and rent rooms out as a cheap alternative to hostels/hotels. has anyone who has done this ever had an issue with safety? i’m not worried about my personal safety as much as having my stuff stolen if i leave it in the room. i will be travelling in croatia/slovenia/slovakia/poland. thanks.
