Ok, to me this sounds like a rediculous question, but I’m curious and you guys always seem to know about things I’ve never heard of before:

I bought a one way flight through CheapOAir on Air India for 350 USD.  I have found some super cheap fares that would be half the price of this flight plus the one way I’m going to have to buy to get back to the states.  Problem is that this Air India flight is non-refundable.  Is there anything I can do, perhaps sell it to another person, call customer service and plead with them, or any other extreme tactic?  I understand if its a lost cause, just curious.

You’re going to have to eat it.

If it is changeable for a fee, probably $200, you might save $150 in credit. Call CheapO to see what you can do. Air India might have no fees for changes, or something really unusual like that, and you’ll never know unless you call. But my guess is that you’re stuck with it.

Yeah, with airtravel nowadays, your name and your ticket are pretty much one in the same, i.e. you can’t just give it to somebody else.
