Hi – Wondering if you can help. I am getting married at the end of September and looking to take a two week honeymoon. Here are the criteria: we’d like to be able to sit on the beach and relax, but also be able to explore and do touristy stuff. So, if that means going to the beach for one week, and then going somewhere else the second week, that’s definitely a possibility. I’d like to stay away from the Carribean. Any suggestions? We were thinking Italy and Greek Islands. Any other suggestions?

Thanks

Greek Islands. Best of both worlds and tasty chow to boot!

Won’t the beachy warm weather be gone in Italy and the Greek Islands by the end of September?

The Greek Islands can get windy in September. Water is cooling off, but you can still go in in some places.

If your up to an adventure…Coasta Rica is amazing, and September is the off season(cheaper) and its still warm/hot and warm water.

Greek Isles is a good suggestion. However, I would suggest the Southern Caribbean… (Barbados, Grenadines, Turks & Caicos, etc.) You will have an unforgettable time there! I know you said NO Caribbean, but have you been to the Southern portion??

Also, New Zealand for one week, then Tahiti would be great!

I am leaving from EWR with $4000 for 9 days

Sunskin, I was thinking of the ABC islands- Aruba, Bonaire, Curacao. I almost was there last week. Bonaire seems particularly inviting.

Greek Islands!!! Tons to do, it’s beautiful, friendly people. You’ll have a great time. And there’s a real variety amongst the Islands, so if you want to change it up you can.
