Summer fares to London
Thu, 11/08/2007 - 15:26
[=“4”][=“times new roman”]We are planning a trip from Austin or Houston to London this summer. Potential dates are June 1 thru June 12 (with a few days flexibility both ways). The fares that I have seen are all in the 1000 USD range. [/][/][=“4”][=“times new roman”]Any suggestions on how to get better fares for 3 adults and 1 child? [/][/][=“4”][=“times new roman”]Thanks in advance![/][/]

First, how important is it to land in London?
www.virgin-atlantic…. $871 per adult if you could depart May 30 and return June 10. Departing before June 1 should help you find better fares.
Some of the reasonably priced airlines are Kuwait Airways, Zoom and AirIndia. Fairly consistent pricing if you buy early.
Don’t restrict yourself only to Heathrow. Try Gatwick and City airport. However keep it in your mind that it is good 25 GBP for a round trip ticket to central london very similar to Heathrow.
Heathrow has the tube which can take you to central london for 5 GBP.
But with oil rising to over 100 and the dollar sinking I am not anticipating too many travellers to Europe next year, so would imagine the prices being generally competetive.
