I just finished my freshman year in college and, although I had a good year overall, I feel the need to travel and have been considering taking a year off to work/travel in Europe. Do you think this is a good idea? Lots of people tell me that I should wait till I graduate to take such a trip, but I fear that after I graduate "grown-up" responsibilities such as job/family will get in the way, and that this is a now-or-never chance. What life situations were other people in who have traveled in Europe for an extended period of time? How did this year work into your life/job/etc.? Any information or advice would be greatly appreciated!
