A recently compiled list.
-Trieste Especially in winter. There really aren’t a lot of great sights, but whats worse is that you never know when you might have to battle with the fierce bora winds. These hurricane force winds can move in suddenly and create havoc, causing traffic problems (buses can turn over in some parts), people are often thrown to the ground and hence you hear ambulances all day long, and it can make +4 temp feel like -12, something you might not be prepared for in a coastal city. Several other cities nearby experience the same wind, but not nearly as bad as Trieste.

-Kartoffel stand in Marienplatz, Munich. They advertise pommes frites and potato pancakes, and they will rip you off without hesitation. We give the guy a 20 euro note, he gives change, we look at it and notice that it is 10 euro short, without leaving the front of the guy or cash register, we make him aware of this. He tells us its too late, apparently once you pull your hand away from the counter the transaction is final. But the counter is raised and my girlfriend is short, she can’t count the money above her head. We knew we couldnt get our money back, but we went to the police station and reported the problem, with our uneaten potato cake. Police came and talked to them, and they agreed to give us two extra orders since the original one was cold already. So really they only ripped us off 3 euro instead of 10, and we were content with that.

-Koper, Slovenia Mainly the bus station, and connections through it. There is major construction and only one lane, causing about 30 mins wait into and out of it. Furthermore its kinda isolated from the rest of the city, especially while under construction. There is one food stand, it serves a few meat and bread dishes, including horse hamburger, but avoid it at all costs! The food is nearly un-edible, and horse burger is usually delicious.

Ankara, Turkey Its a long way from Istanbul, there isn’t much to see, its a big city with lots of sprawl, and there is no tourist infrastructure.
